A Fuel Economy & Greenhouse Gas Rating of 4 out of 10 doesn't seem all that bad. LOL. I would have thought it would be worse. I guess this is a "decently" efficient V8. I'd like to see which cars have a rating of 1 just for kicks. I recall reading somewhere that the 80's Lambo countach got something like 7 mpg. OUch!

The blurb above says the average car gets 28 mpg and will cost you $9,750 in fuel over 5 years. The IS500 will run you $16,000 over 5 years. So, that's an extra $1,250 per year (or $104 per month). I'm willing to dish out another 100 bucks a month to get a huge grin on my face when I floor it , versus zero grin at all with the average 28 mpg car. LOL.

You can milk 28 MPG out of this thing if you're doing a long highway trip. However, most of my tanks see an average of low 20's

My lifetime average with the car has been 19.5 MPG, but my last two tanks have been 18 or so. It all depends on how much I'm "enjoying" the car.

I did manage over 27 MPG on the only long-ish highway trip I did.

The best comparison I can give is Blue Vector (Blue Flame) is to Grecian Water what Ultra White is to Eminent White Pearl.
Blue Flame darker than Grecian? Confused...

As far as my eyes can tell having seen both in person many times, Blue Flame is much brighter than Grecian. Grecian is a medium blue, whereas Blue Flame is a bright/lighter blue that leans very slightly towards turquoise in some light.

If you parked them next to each other they are quite different, although definitely from the same genre of bright blues that has been so popular on cars in recent years, so agreed on it being confusing Lexus went with this new color.

Yea that confused me too. Blue flame is WAYYYY brighter than Grecian. It's night and day different.

The "smurfy blue" I have seen on Rav4's, etc. is brighter to the eyes than Grecian Blue. So assuming it is the same shade we will have smurf blue IS 500's running around. Not my favorite color, but I don't hate it either. Not sure why they went for another blue when they could have done some other color here.

Flare Yellow would have been the obvious next choice as a color associated with F cars. Nori Green would have been the wild card choice just because people seem to have requested it so much.
