What I meant is IS 500 exclusive differentiation factor, the Black Chrome finish was IS 500 only, now they added that to the entire IS line, so now the IS 500 only has 3 things - Raised Hood which is still unique to the 2UR and the Quad Exhaust which can be fitted to IS 350 aftermarket, and Enkei wheels.

 

well that statement isn’t entirely true. The black trim can only be had on the IS500 or a IS350 equipped with the blackout package. Not all 350s will have the black trim.

 

Don't forget the special IS 500 F Sport badges on the sides with the black background vs a white background for the others .

 

Front bumper is longer also.

I'm about 99% sure that I saw an IS 350 with the IS 500 exhaust swapped onto it today. It was Iridium with a black hood and very much sounded like a V-6. People will always find a way to swap things from higher end models onto their cars.

 

😛😛😛 You found mine! I was literally on the phone with Lexus Knoxville today and negotiated the price down on the Grecian Water they have for sale. I was able to get them down to MSRP if I traded in my 2019 WRX. I was just about to close the deal when Sewell called me back saying I got the Blue Vector 😂😂. I hanged up with Knoxville and should have my BV in 3 weeks or so. For anyone else who wants the Grecian Water, Knoxville will negotiate down to MSRP, just be aggressive.


Also, for those wondering - the color says Blue Flame on the vehicle docs so it does appear they are using the Toyota color. Will confirm when I see it in person and will post pics.

 

I wonder if Blue Flame Toyota paint will peel, rust, and look like crap in 10 years if left outside like other Toyotas.

They can definitely toss that article out. Mine will mostly be garaged so hopefully I won't have to find out if the paint will hold up. First thing I intend to do is a ceramic coat. Hopefully that helps some.

 

Just to add one more thing, I noticed it says there is wireless CarPlay/AA integration. Let's see if this is real or another one of the many famous typos.

 

nice catch! Unfortunately I went to the 2024 IS Multimedia manual and it says you need to plug in the phone
so sadly, it is just another Lexus typo.
