Best wheel Cleaner
Don't let it scare you. I used to be paranoid until I experimented with a bunch of products and all of them did the same thing.... clean the wheel. Heck, you could probably clean it with a lougie.
Having said that, I still use my "worm" that someone posted above along with a combo of these products.
1. Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Gel (it has no adverse effect but it also does nothing. Never buying again)
2. Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax to clean the wheel first
3. Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer. The only Chemical Guys product I might keep in my arsenal but even then I am considering switching to the new Meguiars Black Wheel Cleaner that says safe for Matte Black wheels since all my other products are Meguiars.
I used to be paranoid of the wheels and their finish but the language in the manual is nothing other than Lexus covering their ***. I left my wheels uncleaned for 3 months (to the point where they were orange) and I used the steps I listed above and my wheels are back to new.

If you have caked on brake dust: https://www.turtlewax.com/products/h...r-iron-remover
If you stay on top of your wheels and just need a regular cleaner (P&S Brake Buster):
I have used both of these on silver Enkei wheels with no problem. The turtle wax product is reserved for worst case. For routine cleaning, use the brake buster diluted at 5 parts water, 1 part product. I like the brake buster because it is a good tire cleaner as well.

...I really like the Adam's (regular wheel cleaner), 1Z/Nextzett (Colourtec), and Sonax (Wheel Cleaner+). I've tried Griot's and P21S as well and wasn't so impressed. I've only heard really good things about P&S Brake Buster and plan on trying it eventually, especially since it cleans tires as well. As an extra plus, I like to use Ammo Brute wheel soap in conjunction w/the wheel cleaner.
