The brake pads are roughly twice the size of the OEM pads, so there is significantly more heat capacity and less fade.

Pedal feel is the same. The bite corresponds to the brake pad compound you choose.

The the front IS-F calipers are awesome with good pads and fluid, and pad swaps are super easy.
The OEM rear are lacking though. I usually burn through a set of rear OEM pads in 2 weekends.
I would recommend a more aggressive pad than the Endless MX72 I’ve been using for track use. They are completely glazed and overcooked by the 4th session. I’m looking at the Counterspace garage pads for my next set.

The IS500 in the video is mine. bolts right up, just need to bend or shave the dust shield a tiny bit. You can also use the existing brake lines.
I chose to do it for more brake pad options, and this upgrade is very cheap compared to the RCF caliper upgrade. I paid about $700 for both calipers from my local dealer.

I ordered mine from Bell Lexus in Arizona. But you can source these from any Lexus dealer really... FYI price varies from dealer to dealer though.

Can anyone, who has already done this swap, tell me if the bleeder screws on the ISF calipers are the same thread pitch and length as the rear IS500 OEM calipers? I want to install speed bleeders on my car and, from my research, it seems like M10x1.0 with 27mm length works on these ISF calipers, but will they work on the IS500 stock rear calipers?
