Default License Plate Touching Paint

Hi all, just got my plates in the mail and I noticed the rear plate mounts directly on the paint of the trunk with two pieces of masking tape around the screw holes. This gives me the heebiejeebies.

I’ve had German cars before this so I’m used to having a mounting bracket in between. I was wondering if there is something like that for Lexus?

Found a pic on Google of what the plate looks like touching the painted trunk lid.

I personally use
this this
and I run a tinted plate cover on top of the plate. It protects your paint and helps prevent rattles.

I use one of these too. They are unobtrusive and efficient:

Thank you both for the suggestion. This seems like a pretty good solution.

I use the same product that was previously linked on all 3 of our cars and its amazing. On one of the cars, before using this, it was not only rattling but it also started removing paint.

I bought some weatherstripping foam from Home Depot and cut some small squares. Stuck them on backside of my plate to space it out. Also used PPF on the paint where the foam or plate might touch.
