When I was shopping for my car, I was leaning towards Atomic Silver, but I've fallen in love with Iridium over time. It has a lot of metallic flake and sparkles in the sun just as much as Atomic Silver.
Both good colors, I was deciding between those two when I bought my Atomic. The Iridium, in certain light, had a powder blue tone to it. Like an icy blue? I preferred the warmer tones in Atomic. But both look pretty darn good!
I absolutely love the Atomic Silver, though in certain light it looks a little bronze-ish. When I got my IS I didn't want to spend more than I had to, but having owned the car for more than a year I would pick the Iridium since it's a tad bit lighter and has a blue-ish tone as another commenter posted.
I've got the Atomic Silver with Red Interior. I get compliments on the combo all the time. That being said, as one other mentioned, it sometimes feels a bit brown. It wasn't my first choice for exterior color, but I needed something ASAP. It is a sharp-looking car but I would choose Iridium if I could do it all over.
It seems iridium looks better without tint.
Atomic looks better with tint.
In other words if I chose iridium, I wouldn't tint it. it has a clean sterile look that pairs well with clean unobstructed windows.
The warmer tones of atomic, to me, look good with tint.
It could be the photos, but from those photos, that's my sense. Generally though I've seen the cooler silvers in person and they tend to look good with clear open windows (no tint)
I have Atomic Silver on my 2019 IS350 F-Sport. It is silver when there are clouds and overcast. It turns into silver-gold'ish in bright sunlight. Love this color.
Atomic has more depth and character. But regular silver is always a timeless classic. Both are great on the IS.
Top pick would be Glacier Frost Mica. If Lexus offered that color again, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
