I have not replaced my USB ports, but in looking at other upgrade videos, hate to say it ... But I believe you would have to disassemble the entire center console. I am guessing there are plastic compression clips on the backside of the existing usb ports that need to be depressed .. In order remove.

It’s not a big clip, you could try muscling it out, but that’s up to you.

Gonna make another guess (been modding cars a long time). Those "teeth" prob align with a plastic notch on the backside. If the notch is broken while trying to remove it from the front side , you'd run the risk of not being able to secure the new port. Just wanted to put this out there.
Did you end up doing this? I just bought a used CT. It's in perfect shape, but the USB ports don't work (though they do light up). Thinking of replacing the assembly, but idk how much of a pain in the *** it is.
