Just a quick question , I have a Lexus is350 2017 AWD with 84k miles on it. Purchased the car 7 months ago from a friend who is the first owner. Just wanted to know if the transmission fluid should be changed as it had never been changed, as I heard changing the fluid on high mileage can cause issues in the transmission.. any advice or suggestions would be really helpful? As of now the transmission is smooth and has no issues whatsoever.
Not sure of the service process, from a couple mentions of it the procedure is a bit different. But I’d service it now. Usually I do it at 60k. I’m only at just under 12k currently so I haven’t searched much about it.
Call your local Lexus dealer in Dubai and double check on the service schedule that is recommended.
The transmission drain & fill is only a recommended(from Lexus) thing on the Canada & Middle East market cars due to the harsher weather climate. For the rest of the world, Toyota says the oil will last the life of the transmission.
As someone in the US I got mine done anyway at ~40K miles, and will be doing it again around 75-80K just to be proactive.
