Sirius XM update question?
So the one station on XM I liked the most was recently moved to channel 311. In my car, the XM stations only tune up to 234, then repeats back to zero. So I'm no longer able to get the station. XM says I should be able to take my car to the dealer and have them update the XM, so it gets channels in the 300-range (I already did the refresh with XM). I've never heard of this before. Is there such a thing the dealer can do? I have the basic XM package which does pick up the 311 on my phone's app, so my plan does include the higher channels.
Thanks for any info.

When XM and Sirius merged they kept different channel line ups, even shared channels had different
Channel numbers. Until 2019 Toyota/Lexus was installing the smaller line up of XM stations, Chrysler
and others started with and still use the larger Sirius line up. There is not a tuner with the larger line up
for the Head Unit generation to swap into an older car. Easiest work around is to just get the Sirius App
on your phone and Bluetooth or Aux cable to the stereo head unit.

They do this year after year with Yacht Rock station. In summer they make it available at low-numbered stations then it changes for Fall/Winter. It's always available up in the 300s of course. Not sure why they do that since its such a popular channel. You'd think with Spotify and Pandora they'd want to keep the customers they have...
