Default Tire wear

What you guys think of this wear? Toe? Camber? Or tire pressure which I run at 35psi? Car IS300 awd and only the rear have this issue. Haven’t had an alignment since lowered 1.5yr ago. When I put these summer tire back on in the spring I say 70% life. As these are the 2nd summer season with them on.

That's toe wear exacerbated by camber since you are lowered. A good alignment by someone who knows what he's doing (and not just listening to a machine blindly) will fix 80% of your issue. You could always install camber arms if you really want to fix it 99%.

What do you recommend for the alignment front and back?

I don't have specs on hand, but toe needs to be a bit less agressive. A good alignment guy will know exactly what is needed.

Thank fellas waiting on some tire then will getting an alignment. With AWD i pretty sure I'm still with in spec that rear camber not needed yet as there adjustable from factory part.

Right. Camber alone doesn't kill. Toe + Camber kills (tires). a lot of people don't get that right. Sure technically 0 degrees of camber will wear less than 3 degrees, especially if you're doing a lot of hard takeoffs an braking, but for all intents and purposes, camber alone won't do much. If your toe is aggressive and you then get an aggressive drop, then you'll wear fast. Also if you just have a plain old sports car that uses aggressive or dynamic alignment and suspension, aggressive tire wear is part of the game and baked in--on purpose! See BMW M and Porsche.

in any event you need new tires yesterday. please avoid driving with those tires unless you are going to the tire shop. For you and others!!

Of course without seeing the car, can't rule out there's not other issues with bushings and balljoints and what not. the above assumes a perfectly healthy car (except for the angles)

Well looks my my rear toe was way off haha.. couldn’t adjust it yet as the bolt seized. Gonna order a new one install it then have them zero out the toe in the rear. Might get rear camber arm just to move some as it rite on the boarder line. So won’t be drive it much or far to save my tire till then.

I’ve found my rears are wearing the inside edge just as bad as the front.
How does one find a good alignment guy?
I was thinking a trip to the dealer cause of the recalibration with the steering wheel stuff.
Planned on figs for the frt but didn’t think arms were necessary in the rear for stock height.
This is the first set of tires on this car, little over 11k. The wear is bad but not nearly like yours! It’s more on the very edge. Did you even get 7k out of those?!
First time I’ve taken the wheels off this car too and noticed the rear toes in and moves forward it looks like a lot drooped out. Is this normal?

You can go to your dealer , Firestone which what i use since it lifetime alignment, or any in depended shop that you trust. Being your car is stock it be pretty easy for any shop to fix your toe adjustment. Now it going to come down to if its seized or not. Mine were seized and i had to cut the bolt out and replace both driver and passenger side toe bolt with new arms. As for tire it was less than 10k as you can see my toe was way off and eating up the tire cause of it being aggressive toe. As for toe in it normal have some toe in.

It’s the trust it’s going to be done right and not eff something up on the car I struggle with. Not a good time. Last alignment I had done was a nightmare. Shop destroyed my brand new hd tie rod on my truck and it was a limited run so replacement took forever to get. Had to put the stock one back on luckily I still had and happened to be in the bed of my truck. All just before a 4 wheelin trip. I learned how to at least set toe myself on all my soild axle stuff after this good time.

The easiest way to find a good alignment shop is to look for one using Google. You can usually see shop reviews. Helps a lot when you're really unsure

Looks Normal.

I have what looks like the exact same tires (P4S? Or are those Contis) and just finished up my second Summer on them. The rears are toast for anything other than dry, warm driving.

Don't think it normal. As i posted the toe is really aggressive compared to factory spec .max 0.18 im almost triple that spec. Every summer tire i had lasted me at least 4-5 summer since i only run about 5k a summer on them. These got toasted pretty quick since i put them back on in May. Front still show 70% tread left compared to the rear. These are Falken fk510 tires. I bet now that i got the toe in spec down to 0.05 each side it last me 4-5 summer season.
