Hi Guys and Gals,

I’m interested in removing the overhead dome/map console on my 2020 IS to wrap it. Does anyone know how to remove this part?

I've been looking online with some Google searches, here on the forums and YouTube but no luck.

Any help us appreciated! Thank you!

 

The clear plastic can be removed by locating the 2 corners that have slight indent tabs that you can use a trim removal tool to wedge in and pop out the clear plastic. For the overhead these instructions for the RX should be similar ( )

So the whole map light assembly is held in by 4 plastic body clips. 2 toward the front and 2 toward the rear of the assembly. Pull the front of the assembly first. After the clips are disengaged, there are two wire harnesses that need to be disconnected, one on each side.
