If we're going to be petty with words 'sports sedan' and 'sports car' so be it, I am pretty sure you knew what I meant. Toyota Supra was supposed to be a luxury sports coupe when it came out, not a 'sports car' similar to what the RC is today. It just so happened that the engine and transmission was able to handle a lot more power which was able to beat out super cars with a fraction of the cost. Supra, specifically, wasn't manufactured to compete with "Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos".

There is a good reason why the GS (luxury sedan) was discontinued... low sales, didn't do anything better than anything in it's class besides being a comfortable cruiser and the redesigned ES (a luxury sedan) took its spot.

I'm probably not going to respond after this because clearly some GS owners feel salty that I said their cars don't handle good. I didn't mean to offend anyone but I'll say this, people always take digs at the IS250 or the "non F sport" cars all the time and it never gets me upset enough to bring someone else down like you and your buddy are. You shouldn't have to prove how great your car is, it should just speak for itself. Hope you have a good rest of your day.

Let’s drop the stupid argument about the kind of car we all have. The labels on these cars are arbitrary and kind of stupid anyway is what I think we all can agree on - considering 99% of us use them to just drive like normal people.

You're on an IS subforum saying that.. social IQ is strong with this one. @ScytheDC clearly you didn't read the thread because your Texas buddy here makes 'meme' comments and nobody laughs. All taking personal shots and no substance within the posts. Difference between my posts and your guys' posts is that everything I stated is a fact and is proven.

You bought that GS w/ 100k miles less than a year ago... during COVID... your posts smell like buyer's remorse.. I've owned my IS for over 5 years and bought it at 10k miles, don't be weird coming at random people on the forum disrespectfully

I believe it's been said already, but let's knock off the personal comments, or else you will be asked to exit the thread.

Also, you've owned your car for whatever said miles, you know how you maintained it.. you don't really know how this person did and by the looks of the paint, probably not well. I personally wouldn't unless you're a huge fan of the GS and need a more family oriented vehicle.
That's an exaggeration. I own an IS and ES and ES is what you will consider a literal boat. IS looks sporty and that's about it, it's not "sporting" anybody off the road.

OP, GS are cool, especially in that color combo. Maybe test drive one and see for yourself if it's something you like..but it definitely doesn't feel like a boat.

FWIW, I have not driven a GS, but have always heard that they handle well from owners. Then again, one of my other friends test-drove one as he was looking to get a new car and said it felt "stable, but big". So, not bad, but not agile either? I don't think the one he drove was an F Sport, which I am sure makes some difference, especially with AVS. Car journalists seemed to like its handling back when it was new as well, and we all know they are always right. /s
