Default Interior clock paint

Is anyone else noticing the silver paint on their Lexus clock is starting to puff and and look like it's about to flake off. Any way to just replace the trim piece around the clock?

I think the culprit is the use of the magnetic vent holder with my phone/tablet. The air probably rebounds off the back of the phone/tablet and hits the clock.

With the ripples along the top edge and then continuing to the top of the clock face, it looks like some cleaning agent seeping in there.
Did you or someone else clean the dash with something?

I think OP is correct that his phone mount holder applied some pressure on the clock bezel and with heat trapped in the car, it caused those ridges. I believe that part is plastic similar to what's found around the cabin on the steering wheel, door handle, and the sides of the gear selector. Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can replace that part but it's going to be a nuisance trying to replace it.

Never used any cleaning agent. I'm fairly certain it was from the air that was trapped with my phone in the way.

Trying to find the part number of just the bezel if it is even possible to replace. All the schematics have the entire section which is pricey.

I have an extra bezel, you will have to remove the clock bezel and apply it to yours, it is very easy to remove.

Let me know if you need.

Does the whole clock/vent piece need to be removed to replace the bezel or can it be replaced with out removing that middle section.
I've taken out the navigation screen above it and radio unit below it before so its not a problem if it does need to be removed, just would like to avoid it if possible.

That actually might be vinyl and with a small piece of vinyl you could probably wrap it yourself and get it to a color that you like.
