Navigation upgrade
Hi guys, so I own a 2014 is250 base with no NAV, and was wondering if it’s possible to add NAV preferably OEM. Would it just be as simple as a screen replacement from a newer IS model with NAV? Couldn’t find any info on this anywhere
Is it possible?...well anything is possible.
Is it simple? Definitely not.
First thing you need is the radio as that is really the navigation unit...right away the cost of just the radio makes it prohibitive.
Depending if you want the Navi from a 2014-2016, or a 2017+, then you may need a screen, and definitely the harness that goes from the radio to screen.
Not to mention the GPS antenna.
And if the radio doesn't come with the Micro SD card that has the map data, you will also need that.

The NAV system is more than “just a screen”. I’m sure you’re looking at a more difficult job and much higher cost to try to retrofit a factory system as opposed to aftermarket.
