Default IS200T Model Questions please?

Hi I have some questions about the IS200T RWD please?

What were the Model years? 15, 16, 17?
Were there changes in years, likely the Body style Front Grill, Rear Tails, Interior?
Was there a F Sport 200T? Is there also a Base and Lux Package Model?

I read some post about some losing Boost and power, and a update or change the Lexus Service had to do. Did all the Model years have this same problem?

I am thinking about getting one very soon. Appreciate any info, as I am not that knowledgeable with the IS 200T. I searched the Web and it has so much incorrect info about it. Thanks!

On the boost issue, the TSB mentions 2015-2019 models. I had a minor issue with it on my 16 GS200t but it was a fairly easy fix of $200 and 2 hours of work. Be sure to replace the vacuum hose and solenoid as recommended in the TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...52179-9999.pdf

The only other engine issue may be the water pump, but also a fairly easy fix since its tied in with the serpentine belt and not the timing chain. I had the leaky water pump issue on our NX at 50K miles but not my GS. I can't help with the other stuff since I don't have the IS but with two 8AR-FTS powered vehicles in the stable, I have learned a bunch about the engine over the past few years.

Ok good that takes care of 1 thing. In fact it some of your post and threads we have talked about that has me changing thoughts about the 200T and looking into adding one at my house.

I also was going to follow up with what D3 as in addition to the Tune, now and more coming for the 200T also. Back a few months ago I spoke with Dennis as I have the D3 Tune on my GS350 now, and he told me he had some other things he was breaking out on the 200T, as he got further into the ECU tune.

What were the Model years? 15, 16, 17? By name, 2016-17...then the name changed to IS300 (but only the RWD is the 4 cyl. turbo)
Were there changes in years, likely the Body style Front Grill, Rear Tails, Interior? There was the first refresh in 2017 which was basically everything forward of the hood and front fenders, the rear taillights, and the rear diffuser/muffler tips.
Was there a F Sport 200T? Yes
Is there also a Base and Lux Package Model? There is either F Sport or non-F Sport...some refer to the non-F sport as the Base or Luxury model (it's all the same depending on the terminology where the car is sold)

Glad to hear, no regrets at all and I enjoy driving both vehicles and am especially happy for the 30mpg (in eco mode) with gas prices now.

Feel free to share any of those upcoming things from D3, the tune was a real game changer and even the free update last year really made a difference in throttle response.

Ok now I am understanding, especially my confusion of the IS300 change. So the IS300 (RWD Turbo Only) what years? Sorry I'm confused?

Did the Engine (displacement) change from the IS200T to IS300? Again Turbo only? Thanks!

2018+ IS300 RWD = 4 cyl. turbo
2018+ IS300 AWD = 3.5L V6

Engine between the 200T and 300 RWD is the same, it was literally a badge/name change. All the 4cyl. are turbos.

Ok now I have some knowledge I did not know to shop, and I thank you very much especially and others.

So, was there a Package with the F Sport and/or Base model , that added like the M/L Audio? Or what other options were there to get with it, that were in addition to a Base or F Sport. Not AWD, or Winter package that come with the AWD if so? I have been Googling and looking at the car sales site and they just don't help me distinguish the added things. I would want one with some adds, that they could have?

The higher packages for either trim model (F Sport or Base) came with ML Audio.
There are so many options and the packages change from year to year based on demand, customer purchase trends, etc. that's it's a tough question to answer as to what package you would be looking for without even knowing what specific year you want.
