Default Noise when turning slowly

Hello,

I think I have found where is from the noise (clunk, clunk..) when I turn at left at low speed.

When I removed the front end links (sway bar). The noise gone (I'm very happy to find, almost, where was from). So, I think it is about the sway bar bushing.

I took some picture but I can't see nothing worried on the bushing what do you think about it?

RIGHT BUSHING

LEFT BUSHING

If you still have the end links removed, then see if you can wiggle the bar inside the bushings (left and right).
If you can wiggle the bar, then the bushing is worn and needs to be replaced.

By wiggle I mean move the bar up, down, left, right.

Ok I will try it for the front sway bar.

But I already make it for the rear bar I could move the sway bar up and down, does that mean the rear sway bar bushing are dead too?!

Does anyone know the torque spec for rear and front sway bar?

On another path, my C7 would do that and it turned out the wheels were over torqued. Wheels and hubs were removed, cleaned, retorqued to correct specs, and the clunk went away.

It depends how much force you're using and how much movement there is.
If the bushings are worn enough, the bar can move inside the hole of the bushings without much effort.
You could also almost reproduce the clunking sound if there is enough movement.
The key to judging the wear is if the bar can be moved without the rubber moving as well.

It's a little hard to explain without showing it at the same time.

I think I understand, for example for my car the rear bushing sway bar can move but only up and down, and slowly. In this case it s ok.

For the front bushing the sway bar stay stuck in the bushing It s why there is a noise, I think.

if it's a clunk, it's the end links. the bushings, while a bit dry, wouldn't cause a clunk. they'd just make your sway bar less responsive. end link ball joints probably are loose or have play (worn) they need to be really tight (hard to do by hand/feel) or they'll clunk. anyone lower your car before or touch it?

Thanks to help me E46CT ( Sasnuke too)

I had lowered only rear of my car, but I removed the down spring and I put back the OEM spring.
What do you means by link ball joints = end link sway bar ?

I can try to tightened the end link sway bar.

endlinks have ball and socket joints. make sure they're tight tight tight. strut/shock mounts can also cause clunking. just make sure all is tight.

usually though after a lowering job, if i have a clunk develop, it's cause the end links are loose. even when i thought they were tight, they need to be even tighter. it's hard to get a torque wrench in there so it's easy to not tighten them enough.

Hey guys, some news.

Today I put silicon grease on the front bushing sway bar and I put the end link sway bar back. For two miles the noise was gone then it's come back , I want to cry.

What can I do, tight tight again or bough new end link sway bar or else ??

1 - The last week, without the front swaybar end link the noise (clunk, clunk) was gone.
2 - Yesterday I put the swaybar end link back, and I tightened very strong, but the noise (clunk, clunk) was come back.
3- Today I remove again the swaybar end link , and the noise is again here, but very less.

I m going to be crazy...
