Default IS250 won't start below freezing temps

Hello!
Last night we got hit with -20F temps (-45F w/ wind chill), and now this morning my car won't start. Currently it is -15F, the battery still seems to be charged properly but the car is making a loud cranking noise from the undercarriage when i try to start:

Any ideas? Just frozen?

Take the battery out and get it charged, should be plugged in at those temps but maybe you don't have a block heater.

I do not have a block heater, this cold snap was unusual for us.
Can I charge the battery by just hooking up jumper cables from another vehicle (without actually removing the battery)? I apologize if that is a dumb question, I am not very mechanically inclined!

Yes, on both vehicles connect the positive cables first and the negative last. do the opposite when taking them off, I believe you are hearing the starter solenoid clicking.

You should invest in a battery tender (costco sometimes sells them). Very inexpensive and easy way to keep the charge up in your battery.

I'm back on the road, thanks y'all!

I will invest in a battery tender for the future.

How old is the battery?
If the answer is more than 5 years, get a new battery...the current one is done!
