2019 IS 300.. USB Port Disconnecting
Hello everyone!
I have a 2019 IS 300 F-Sport. I always play music via the usb cable and lately I've noticed the stereo turning off due to the USB connection disconnecting. The reason I know it's the USB port and not stereo is because I noticed the charge sign on my iPhone going away and coming back when it happens (I have tried multiple cables and phones). I am planning to take it in to the dealer tomorrow, hopefully the issues iwill be covered or repaired under warranty since it's only a 2019 car with 16K miles on it.
I do have a couple of questions for you guys here! I have a couple of video recordings of the issue happening since I am worried it may not happen when the Lexus advisor takes a look... does this help? Second, has this happened to anyone else before and are usb issues covered by the warranty?
Any help would be appreciated!

^^ That is an interesting problem and to be honest, I ave never encountered that with my current or previous Lexus products (IS and RC) - Have you ever tried putting your music on a USB stick and see if the problem occurs using the USB port? Ironically, I know exactly what you are describing because I have encountered a similar situation with trying to copy music from my laptop onto my MP3 player and what you are describing is exactly what I would have. In this situation, the issue was not the USB port but more an issue with my device. I am not saying this is the case in this situation but why I was suggesting you tried playing the music through a USB stick and test that the port is fine.
Regardless, as a 2019 and with only 16k miles, this should be covered under warranty - Please keep us posted

When I bought my used Lexus, the USB port wasn't working at all. The car had two days of the warranty left. I called the Lexus dealer in Marin and he had me come in that afternoon and replaced the part that day.
If they weren't so pricey, I'd have maintenance done there. I did buy a second key fob and had it programmed there. Yes, bring it in and get it fixed.

2021 IS 350 with just under 6,000 miles, and I have had intermittent issues similar to what you're describing. Android Auto just randomly disconnects. However, I believe it's just an issue with the way I have the cable plugged in. If I place my phone a certain way, it does not happen. So if my issue is indeed just the USB cable I'm using, it may not be what you are seeing.
