Default Head restraint too high

I am new to this forum, but couldn't find this topic posted already. My apologies if I missed it. I have a 2014 IS350 with what I consider a minor design flaw. My wife is short (5'2") and needs to raise the driver's seat as high as possible to see while driving. However, the head restraint is too tall to allow the seat to be raised fully. It hits the roof before the seat is at its highest point. If I remove the HR it will go up high enough, but it is not safe to drive without the HR. Lexus does not offer a "short" replacement version, but I wondered if there is some aftermarket HR that would fit. Has anyone else on this forum had this problem? Have you found a solution?

I haven’t tried it myself, but I seem to recall reading that some have installed the HR backwards because they found the forward angle of the HR annoying. Would that give you a bit more head room?
