Default Aftermarket Android Screens - OEM 10.3" w/ Nav & Mark Levinson

Hate to create a new post for this, but I feel this particular topic deserves its own recognition (and because searches reveal nothing).

Because I want this:

But then I see this:

Which results in this:

Why won't this work with factory 10.3" screens? Is it physical fitment? Software compatibility? Screen resolution incompatibility? Because if its just that it's physically incompatible with the dash, I will MAKE this fit.

Long story short, I have been using my new Grom VLine 2 unit for a month or two and have come to the conclusion that it clearly was not ready to be released for vehicles with our particular installed options. After working with Grom tech support I was finally instructed to install the latest update for the Grom unit, but setting it on fire would have been more productive.

The connector is different on the factory 10.3 screen. There's a thread on here somewhere with a user upgrading from factory 7 to factory 10 systems

Very frustrating. Been looking all over for a solution and can’t find anything besides the modules that don’t really work well.

^^ Agreed...the cable connector from the Radio to the Display is different from the 7 inch to the 10 inch.
Member Edwin did the conversion from his 2014 infotainment to a 2017...he had to replace portions of the harness that goes between the Radio and Display because of the different connector types.

The LVDS video connector at the back of display changed to smaller in 2017-2020 (10"wider screen) compared to the older 2014-2016 (7" screen)
