Default 2016 IS350F - Dead Battery?

Hello guys,

Long time! and long time no drive my IS (big mistake).
Long story short, I haven't drove the car in a few months... last week it wouldn't start. So I jumped it. Was working fine for a while.

Today, wouldnt start again. The makes some cranking/ticking noise, but doesn't start. I jump it again.

- check engine light is on now
- TRAC OFF flashing
- Check PSC
- no sound in stereo while engine on ( sound comes when in accessory mode)
- dynamic parking lines missing

Got a feel this is due to bad/dead battery. Car was bought brand new. Now, sitting at 50k miles. About 5 years now.. I would think it's time to change battery.

I called up Lexus, they said about $240 installed.

Anyone Else experienced this?

The battery is old enough to warrant changing. You may save money by going to an independent shop.

Yeah that was my thought..
True, probably could save like $50 bucks or something. But Lexus was accommodating and close to my home. Make appointment with them to get it replaced.

5 years is about right; that was timeframe mine died as well. Changing out batteries is one of the easiest DIYs out there. I'd recommend buying the battery and trying it yourself.
