Does the Active Sound Control Control (ASC) play through the speakers?
Can anyone confirm if the Active Sound Control (fake engine noise) plays through the cars sound system speakers or through dedicated speakers behind the dash? The manual in my 2021 IS says it plays through speakers behind the dash. Not sure if those are the audio system speakers or specials speakers just for ASC.
It is not from the ML stereo system speakers. ASC has a dedicated speaker.
That is good news for anyone installing an aftermarket sound system. Thank you! How did you find this information if I may ask? I'm curious about where this dedicated ASC speaker is.

Nice, that is an interesting bit of information.
I have had my RCF for 4+ years so hard for me to remember where I read it, but it was in the user manual from what I recall. It is only turned on in SPORT+ mode where there is more intake/exhaust noise being pumped through speaker in a ratio of 50/50 for exhaust/intake noise. The speaker is located on the passenger side close to where the glove box is. I have also read it is below the instrument panel, but to me it seems more on the passenger side where I can spot the noise coming from. From what I see in videos, looks like the IS500 F-Sport has the same exact setup. However, the IS500 has a switch to turn off the ASC.
