Hey everyone, I did a base model to Fsport gauge cluster swap. Everything works but the only issue i have is i don't have the pre collision system and its the only thing flashing. Is there a way to remove this warning light? I've already tried going into the menu and disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 10 minutes and no luck. Wondering if anyone here would know how to clear this. Thanks in advance!
So far the only way some members have gotten the random lights (PCS, VGRS, etc.) to go out is to reprogram the cluster to eliminate them.
Good luck trying to find someone here in Canada to do it...there is one member in the states that did it successfully, but you also need equipment to do it.
Here is something you can try since it's just the PCS light on...you could try grounding the PCS Cancel switch...it might keep the PCS light on though (without flashing), but the warning message in the info area should disappear.
I realize you don't have the PCS Cancel switch in your car, but being a 2014 it may be pre-wired for it, so the connector might be there under the lower dash near the Tire Pressure Monitor reset switch.
You will have to remove the lower trim piece on the drivers side to find the connector, but I think it will just be taped to the harness. It's a 2 wire connector, the wires are Violet and White (with a black stripe).
As a test just short the pins of the connector together and turn the car on...you could use a paperclip for the test.
The PCS Cancel switch is connector K97. It may not be in the exact location as per the diagram, but it may be taped to the harness nearby. For reference K96 is the TPMS reset switch connector.
You can see the color of the wires. When you press the switch it just sends a Ground signal to the Driving Support ECU.
Short terminal 2 to terminal 1 with a paperclip, then start the car.
If you try it, let us know what happens.
If it does work, you could leave the paperclip in and just tape up the connector so it can't fall out. If you have a small piece of wire to make a jumper between terminals 2 and 1 that would be better.
