Default After market stereo

Hello, I've made a post about my radio problems constantly rebooting before, and the only solution was to replace the head unit, but I can't find any P10436 Radio's anywhere and the dealer is charging a arm and a leg, if anyone knows where I could get one please send a link!!! and If I absolutely can not find another replacement radio, I was thinking about buying the android screen upgrade radio but I was just curious to know if it would work as my OEM head unit is fried? thanks guys

Sorry I don't have a link for the OEM one, but as to your question about the android screen, which I have, it would not work with a broken radio. The android headunit's wiring harness just daisy chains into the OEM stereo harness. The android unit is not a stereo itself, it is simply an andoid tablet with a custom Lexus UI and replaces your screen.

^^ Agreed...the Android screen only works if the radio works.

The P10436 I believe is the Mark Levinson 15 speaker with Navi radio.
A Canadian member on here had success installing a US radio when their Canadian radio failed. (They had P10435 and installed a US spec P11010)
They had the Standard Audio (8 speaker) system without Navi and was able to get a US model radio for 8 speaker with Navi to work...or course they needed a few extra parts to get the Navi working since their car originally didn't have Navi.

Following the same idea, if you have the P10436 radio, you can try the following faceplate ID's:
  • P10434 (US spec 15 speaker with Navi - 2014 to early production 2015 model year)
  • P10998 (US spec 15 speaker with Navi - 2015 to early production 2016 model year)
  • P10991 (Canadian spec 15 speaker with Navi - 2015 to early production 2016 model year)
The list above is provided with the caveat that no one has actually tried this yet (at least not reported here on the forum) and that you would likely need a new micro SD card for the US spec radios (maybe).
Personally I would look for a P10991 first, then P10434, and finally P10998.

Any updates on this thread? I am in the same boat. I have a 2014 3IS with P10436 faceplate and looking for OEM or aftermarket replacement options.

Default Clean it

Take the radio apart and remove all the ribbons then clean with endust, and also remove and clean the second memory card. When I took apart mine one of the ribbons to the faceplate was not in or locked
