Default Oil Filter for IS200t

A5 filter# does not fit correctly for the vehicle equipped with 8ARFTS, that’s for IS GS and RC. Still uses 4.9qt.

Our parts department said Lexus database called for it so I ended up using.

I recently removed the filter and drained oil after 1500 miles.

So I noticed after I removed it was crushed smaller than A5 bigger than A1

Oil was milkier then I expected.
Not goldish dark color that I was expecting from 5000-10000 mile intervals most people do for oil changes.

I installed an a1 for the way it fit in the housing easier without me applying excessive pressure to thread on the cup.

no warning lights or drivability issues. Oil pressure and temperature readings are correct.

can anyone verify that Lexus does recommend Filter # ending in A1 instead of A5?

Should be 04152-YZZA1 which is the same filter that they use on the Scion tC I believe.

yes I agree. I was confused on why the database said it called for a5. My thoughts knew something wasn’t right

Lucky that the filters are readily available and cheap too when ordering online.
