Sharp cut and scratch in rear bumper

Unhappy Sharp cut and scratch in rear bumper

Hello guys,
My car was scratched in the rear bumper in a parking lot.I reliased it on the next day only .

there is a sharp cut if you zoom it and small bump

Not sure If it is easy to fix or should I claim insurance for this . Please suggest your opinons.

Considering all the other marks on the other areas of the bumper, this would be a good opportunity to repaint or replace the rear bumper.
Likely insurance will opt for repaint assuming it's fixable, which is a little hard to tell from here.

Would just get it repainted instead of reporting to insurance

I agree with swaangin, try and deal with it on your own rather than report this to the insurance for a repair that will not be that significant. I would have it repaired/repainted rather than putting a brand new bumper.

I am sorry about your incident though, it sucks that people can be so inconsiderate and not own up to their mistake

going through insurance will cost you more in the long run, just take it to a good body shop and they will fix it for less on your own dime.
