Sorry, english is my second language, my grammar can be out of whack at times, let me elaborate. Bone stock, the manual cannot keep up with the automatic, they ARE amazing. However, unlike the lexus IS, when you are modding this turbocharged engine, we can easily get additional 1-200hp. At certain point, the automatic might not keep up with the power gain, and your mods will be limited by the automatic transmission. Basically car can possibly run so fast, the automatic transmission cant shift fast enough it started slipping. In this regard, on the manual, you dont encounter this issue.
