Default DRL drivers side barely (lightly lit) on - Help?

DRL drivers side barely (lightly lit) on with headlight setting on auto? Passenger side works fully.
DRL’s (both sides) work perfectly in all other modes. Only drivers side drl weakly lit up in auto mode???

I want to make sure the tread is accurate.
- My drivers DRL in auto mode during daylight is very dim.
- in All other modes, including auto/night mode it works perfectly. Crazy. Please advise! Thanks!

I asked about the fog lights as most will wire aftermarket fog lights to the DRL to make them work.

Basically your DRL cat-eye LED on the driver's side is dim during the day when the daytime running lights are on (in Auto mode), but normal illumination when the headlights are on at night (in Auto mode or otherwise).
Some have had there DRL's got out...so I would assume this is a prelude to yours failing on the drivers side.
I'd say keep an eye on it and start looking for a replacement before it fails completely.
If you see it start to flicker, then it's definitely on it's way out.

What you mentioned about the various modes really boils down to when the headlights are on or off, however they get there, Auto or manual.

It's not the relay...in reality there is no relay, at least not the conventional kind you're thinking of.

Good thing I did not follow info.
With the drl working perfect in all other modes - does not make sense that the drl is going out. It would mis-function in any mode.
Dug into the wiring to find a kink in the DRL wiring. Cut & soldered. Now works perfect. Generalized suggestions are of no benefit. Need evidence to support suggestions on a forum. Wiring diagrams & in depth videos. Disappointed did not find any of that in this forum. Bye!

Thanks for following up with the solution...hope that was really the issue and it's permanently fixed now.
Be sure to NOT come back if you need help with anything else...I wonder why you checked the wiring in the first place.

My man took time out of his day to help you, no one forced you to go down that route and being on this forum for years you're the first person to present this kind of issue. Dude who helped you probably knows more than most Lexus mechanics. The audacity of some ppl

Seriously? Without having access to your car no one can tell you exactly why your lights are not working. That’s why you were given suggestions. If you can’t understand that then it’s on you.
