Ok, i might have done something crazy but i was fed-up with my phone holder !! Since the stupid magnet thing or any other bracket looked and felt like not doing their purpose .... i totally glued my extension into the console and VOILA !!! Problem solved and also looks pretty darn cool :P
Took a kit from Canadian Tire with a flex arm , cut the base, drilled a square hole in the trim and glued it in place with epoxy. Might as well make it look nice so i wrap the hole thing with Vvivid carbon fiber
FYI, i did sand the trim all the way down to 400-800-1200grt smooth as a baby's bum so the wrap stick perfectly.
Got a few little wrinkles at the end but the arm rest hides it perfectly ....wrapping is not my daily job so loll
