Audio Unit
Hi Everyone,
I was checking these forums if people had the error attached on their Lexus couldn't find anything concrete on this. Did anybody had this issue with their audio unit? Basically radio, Bluetooth and navigation doesn't work. Backup camera works fine. The unit keeps restarting, sometimes would work for 10 seconds and crash again. Is this something I would have to order from a dealership? Don't want them to charge stupid diagnostics fees if I am sure its audio unit.
Model-: Lexus is250 2014, AWD.

Given your year and other issues besides the error message, it would appear you need the radio head unit.
You can try to look for a used one on eBay...some other Ontarians have also installed US radio head units that have also worked.
There is a thread on here somewhere with the Faceplate ID of the US radio that was used.
Otherwise you can look for a used unit with the same Faceplate ID as yours.

Yes that's what I am thinking as well its the Radio unit itself. I will check for used one and call dealership as well and see how much they are charging for ordering unit. Seems like very common issue with these 2014 Lexus IS.

Just called lexus and cost comes out to be 8000$ haha. They have asked If I can give them the part number to make it clear which unit it is. Apparently it has different types.

Maybe they looked up the radio along with the hvac controls etc...all as one unit.
Also, make sure if you get a used unit it comes with the micro SD card...or you'll be buying a new one.
