Default issues with car battery cage

i'm embarrassed to even be asking about this ... but i'm having a hard time removing one of the brackets on the side of the car battery cage that holds the positive side of the wiring harness.

its the light gray clip/bracket that i'm having trouble with.

any suggestions or tools to easily disconnect this f'ing thing??

You're not alone. I went thru that grueling experience when I replaced the OEM battery. Good thing the replacement battery is bigger so I didn't have to put that plastic case.

I disliked wrestling with that cage. What I felt helped was a flat head screwdriver.. and some padded gloves. Padded gloves because I was getting pissed at trying to unlock the latch and found myself banging my hands against the nearby sharp corners. Good luck
