hi sasnuke i have a 2014 lexus is 350 sport and it was bought brand new stock no modifications and i have been contemplating purchasing stage 3 performance chip by chip your car.will that enhance my performance?or is stage 2 adequate enough to give me better perfomance?i don't want to damage car.i am new here on this forum so i don't know if i am posting up correctly. thank you

 

I had a look at their website...stage 3 claims 60hp...which for an IS350 is well beyond realistic.
Looking at a proper tuning company like RRRacing, you could get a tune that will give you max 10hp at the rear wheels with no other bolt-ons. https://www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-...ig3xxtne02.htm
Add an intake tube, headers, and cat back exhaust and you're looking at about 45hp at the wheels.

Unfortunately the performance gains that chipyourcar.com is claiming is not possible from a simple OBD II plugin device. Likely the unit is manipulating the ECU by sending it lean signals for the Air Fuel and O2 Sensors, thus tricking the ECU into adding more fuel and timing...which will give you a little more power, but nowhere near 60hp...actually nowhere near 6hp.

In the short term probably not, in the long term there's no way to tell.

The claims of 60hp/5 mpg gains on an IS350 are completely bogus. It should also tell you something that no matter the brand/model you chose on the site, the gains seem to be the same... "+60hp/5mpg" (with no supporting data).

Proper tuning of the IS350 ECU is a very involved and complicated process, much more than just an afternoon on the dyno. Our tune was developed and refined over months of street, track and dyno testing.
