I am wondering who on here as upgraded their 2014-2016 IS to the 2017+ Rear Valance. How was the install, how do you remove the existing plain fascia to install the 2017+ valance?

 

You need to drop the entire bumper cover to get access to some of the clips and screws that secure the diffuser. You will need a body clip removal tool, otherwise you will destroy the clips that hold the bottom of the bumper on.


Not too hard, probably best you get someone to help you. I swapped a cleaner base diffuser in place of my f-sport diffuser because I didn't like the useless vent it has.

 

I’ve tried to remove my bumper before (using this video as a guide) but i couldn’t get the clips to budge, and started to **** up my paint when i inserted a tiny screwdriver to separate the clips. Any tips? His bumper came off sooo easy in this vid

 

Apparently it's a direct swap but yeah, you have to remove the whole bumper
