Default Window making creaking noise when going down

video: https://imgur.com/8tpsLjG

It's been a week since I recorded that and the noise is a bit less but still present, no other windows have it. This is on the driver's side. Does this mean I should stop using it / power window regulator going bad?

can't tell you exactly what the issue is, but I'm leaning away from a regulator issue - I think it's something else either fowling the window or fowling the track. I'd suggest taking the inner door panel/door card off and running the window up and down without it.
Has the inner door panel/door card been off recently, or at all?

Given the noise and when it occurs, I actually don't think it's the window regulator at all.
As suggested above, I would remove the inner door panel, then plug back in the window controls and operate the window.
I have a feeling with the door panel removed the noise will either stop, or now you'll be able to pinpoint where it's coming from exactly...but I'm guessing the noise will stop.

Outside of the noise it looks like the window goes up and down smoothly...I'm assuming when it stops those few times it's going down is because you stopped it, and it didn't stop by itself.

No, never took the panel off. I had the Lexus dealership put more insulation there 2 years back because I thought I was hearing noises but this noise started recently. Haven't had anything done to the car.

Yup, I stopped the window, didn't stop on it's own. Smooth operation though.

I think you may have answered the question as to what the noise could possibly be.

Yeah but when they installed it, it's never made noise since then, it just started a few weeks ago. Wouldn't this noise have started closer to that time?

Without knowing what they used for insulation, where they put it, or how it's adhered, it's tough to answer those questions.
The most reasonable explanation is that it has come loose over time and is now interfering with the window glass.
Most definitely it's going to be the first thing you want to check.

100% concur the adhesive of the additional insulation has probably let go - if you have the tools and knowhow, take the panel off and look around for things fowling up the window. If it's under warranty still, make an appointment and let the dealer handle it. If it's not under warranty and you don't have the tools and/or knowhow, a friend or a local mechanic you trust will be able to solve it for you, will probably only charge you 1-2hrs labor, offer the friend a sixer.

If you lived in my neck of the woods I'd help you out, sorry I can't.

I have the same issue on my 2014 IS250 STD RWD on the front passenger window. This is happened every once in a while for the last 2-3 years specially after rains or moisture which is quite rare in Southern California. On a recent trip that lasted eight hours and then the trip the window will squeak so much that it would stop halfway up and go back down/would not go all the way up. In my experience with other German cars are use one hand to guide the window all the way up while pushing the button with my other hand. This happens a bit on the other windows too.

Does anyone know what the source of this is and if there is a fix? I would hate for the regulator to go out on a middle of a trip or somewhere far away from service or home.
