Default IS250 transmission issues?

Reference video (0:58):

He says it's a common problem among IS250s. P2757 error code, torque converter solenoid / faulty transmission? He's about to hit 60k miles. I am kind of worried because I do some pulls with the car but now I don't want to push the car at all. Is this really a common issue?

he also has headers / tune / exhaust.

I think something happened to the video...says it's unavailable.
Not sure what year the IS is in the video, but no one with a 3IS has reported this code on the forum...doesn't mean it hasn't happened, just no one here has posted a thread about it.
Although, the 250 was only around for 2 years in the 3IS generation, so not like there is a ton of them out there.
If you do a forum search you will see this code mainly pops up for 2IS and 3GS...so you could say it's a common issue for 2IS...good thing we don't have a 2IS 250.

Typically a code like that occurs because the tranny went...meaning the tranny let go first, and the code popped up second. A code like that usually won't pop up first, then the tranny fails.

Not sure why because the YouTube video is up. It's @jasonguyen 's latest video. It's a 2014 IS 250 RWD I am assuming because he is from Cali. He mentions this is a common issue and he thinks it's because he pushes the car everyday multiple times a day (taking it to red line).

This is his YouTube channel:

I had a look at the video on Youtube.

Couple comments:
  • He mentions the code, but doesn't mention if the car was driving oddly in any way...he also then drove it an hour to get his uncle to change the fluid
  • He was planning to change the fluid soon, but did it now that the code came up...it could be that the condition of the fluid contributed to the code popping up...sounds like he's never changed the fluid
  • It's also important to mention that the RWD and AWD have different trannies...so even if this is common for 2IS, which tranny is it common to, the RWD one or the AWD one, cause they aren't the same
  • Driving habits could also contribute to this...by his own admission
Bottom line...change ya fluid...that's the reason it's called preventative maintenance

Hello, I have Lexus IS 250 from 2006 year with automatic transmission and I have codes P2757 and C1201. I changed the solenoid, oil and filter for the transmission.

Are these codes connected with the ecm and tcm, should I buy knew computer or the problem is with transmission? Has anyone solved this problem?

You shouldn't need a new computer... if you believe the issues are resolved, the codes would be cleared.

Due to P2757 being possibly related to a solenoid, it could also be a battery issue. Honestly, that is a shot in the dark though.

From what I can tell, you should probably address the P2757 code first, and C1201 may go away as it's likely related. If it were me, I would troubleshoot the transmission first... which it looks like you have already done to an extent. Is this the first time the fluid has been changed? How many miles are on the odometer?

Have you tried asking this in the 2IS forums?
