Volume not working

Hey guys my volume isn’t working it just started this morning it’s happened before once then fixed itself. This time it’s been like that the whole day the button to change the music pause etc all work but when I turn the **** for volume it doesn’t even appear on the screen that I’m moving it. Please help! This all happened today on my bday RIP
