Exclamation 2018 back is SOL

No 4G, NO Lexus Enform. Owners of older vehicles affected will only have the option to buy a new car that is not affected. It may also be that anything requiring 4G or higher will be terminated in the future.

As of October 31, 2022, at 11:59PM CST, the following available Lexus Enform subscription services will be terminated.
final date Sept 2022
Dear Lexus Owner,

Thank you for choosing Lexus. As part of our Customer First commitment, we want to make you aware of upcoming changes in wireless communications technology that impact available Lexus Enform subscription services.

What’s Happening

As wireless technology continues to evolve, telecommunications providers in North America are making significant changes to their legacy communications infrastructures and network capabilities. Certain telecommunication providers have elected to terminate 3G wireless services which will impact available services for motor vehicles.

How This Will Impact Services in Your Lexus Vehicle

Your 2017 Lexus IS 350 offers available Lexus Enform services that rely on access to 3G wireless networks.

As of October 31, 2022, at 11:59PM CST, the following available Lexus Enform subscription services will be terminated:

• Lexus Enform Safety Connect®1 including Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Emergency Assistance Button and Stolen Vehicle Locator.

• Lexus Enform Remote2 including Remote Engine Start/Stop, Door Lock/Unlock, Vehicle Finder, Guest Driver Monitor, Vehicle Status and Alerts, Key Fob Remote Start, and Integration with Alexa® and The Google Assistant.

• Lexus Enform Destination Assist3 including 24-hour live response center agents.

• Lexus Enform Service Connect4 including Vehicle Health Report, Vehicle Alerts and Maintenance Alerts.Starting September 1, 2021, available Lexus Enform subscription services will only be available as monthly subscriptions for your vehicle. You can subscribe to or renew your available Lexus Enform subscription services through September 30, 2022 via the Lexus app.

If you are currently subscribed to a multiyear discount, any unused portion of a paid subscription will be refunded at a prorated amount. These refunds will begin on November 1st, 2022.
REMINDER: Limited Service Campaign for Safety Connect System – Vehicle Location Inaccurate
As a reminder, your vehicle might be involved with the Lexus Limited Service Campaign for Safety Connect System. To check if your vehicle is involved, please visit www.Lexus.com/recall. Make me feel better I was aware 2017 back. My car, which I ordered from Japan, a IS 350 F Sport AWD has a bunch of boat-anchor electronics now (3 years later) that are worthless, that I am still paying for monthly. I have less than 10,000 miles on the car and it is antiquated. Just like Toyota/Lexus. Making these systems not upgradable is ridiculous. At my age trading, it in to get what had back is not an option. Progress creates unhappy customers.

Canadian cars with the Lexus Dashcam option that you cannot get for US cars... and will not work properly on them vs the Canadian counterparts.
I paid (paying) extra for electronics that make the enform system work and now it will sit there idle and my vehicle is devalued even more, so trading it in would be a really bad joke.
If you did not pay for it there is nothing to complain about. What is next that won't work? I guess I should shut up and keep paying my monthly payments
till it is paid off. BTW nice car Sasnuke. I was contemplating 3 pice HRE's for mine but I feel a little down now for a 10,000 expenditure not including tires.
