Default When do you drive in sport mode?

I usually always drive in sport mode. Other than using more gas, is it bad?

no ... not at all. SPORTS MODE adjusts the throttle, gear changes and tightens the steering a little.
i want to say VSC auto enables in SPORT too . .. dont quote me.

I did it a few times. I always drive in Normal mode. Of course, I'm hardly driving at all these days, except for essentials. I teach from home, like all teachers
should be doing currently.

1000% of the time. Get in sport s+ and full trac disable. If you know how to drive this car, then you can get identical mpg through out all the drive modes. I did extensive testing. In sport s+ I can achieve the same mpg as in normal mode.

I like the heavier steering, and the gauge in sport +. Sport and normal the steering is too loose for me.

First thing I do after starting car is fully disable traction control then put it into sport mode...sport+ if I really wanna have fun.

Traction control is super intrusive and eco/normal the throttle response is beyond bad.

Sport mode as soon as the car is up to operating temp. I only use normal mode for highway driving, and even then I'll use Sport mode depending on traffic.

I get identical fuel economy in Sport mode vs normal, no reason for me to not use it in most driving these days.

95% of the time in sport mode (only after temps are up). I can't stand the IS200t throttle response / dynamics in normal or eco mode.

Only time I'm in normal mode is if I'm turning a lot at low speed, going up a parking structure, etc. or on longer highway stretches. The MPG difference is negligible for me, so might as well have more fun.

Same here as most everyone else who has replied. 95% of the time I drive in Sport+ (once everything is warmed up) with traction control off.

I like Sport mode in the IS because it gives you that intelligent transmission behavior but not too much aggro on the throttle input. So, you really can drive it in Sport all the time. I've driven other cars where Sport is too much for "normal" driving. Hold gears forever, shifts hard, etc.

I probably drove about 60% of the time in Normal, the other 40% in Sport. Eco? 0% other than the occasional experiment.

I tend to drive in Eco mode mostly since I'm stuck normally in NYC traffic. However, I tend to switch to Sport+ on the highways and curvy roads when I drive out of state just to have some fun.

When driving in sport mode do have to be standing still before switching or can it be switched while driving?

I use it whenever I want to leave a pack or when I need car maneuvering accuracy(related to power) in between cars. Those tight spaces between cars are crucial and most of the time I cannot use normal mode coz of that slight delay.

Other than that, when I'm doing italian tune up.

eco under 35mph roads / parking lots, the sport mode steering is way too heavy IMO in situations like that.. sport mode highway
