It looks like my costco has stopped selling motor oil and I dont know why.. that means Wally World will be the only place to get cheap Mobil1 oil.
Just get Walmart's own supertech synthetic. It's an extremely strong oil (and this is coming from a high end/arrogant/cocky german oil snob). It's been proven to equal or in some cases even exceed Mobil 1 performance.

Today's Walmart and Amazon contract with big billion dollar companies that do all the engineering and research up the yin yang. Today pretty much everyone makes a high quality oil. No need to jerk.

The only instance in which I'd get Mobil 1 is if you can't really get the spec somewhere else. An example of this is 0W-40 Euro which is an ACEA spec and factory fill on six figure bangers from lexus LFA to porsche GT3 GT2 to Nissan GTR to AMG65 engines. That or if it's the cheapest in which case M1 0-40 was for a few years (some nerdy oil trivia for you)

The short answer to what oil is best? All are best.

FYI, there's also another thread where we talk about oil used -> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...nd-winter.html

My advice is just use whatever meets the certifications Lexus specifies in the owner's manual and whatever fits your budget and driving style. Personally, I just let the dealership techs fill it up with whatever they normally would.

forgive me for stating this, but walmart sources everything from china and china cheats on everything. I would Never use a walmart branded product. Especially in an expensive luxury car. Id park it first.

Amsoil SS stock already eaten up by my previous IS. Leftover stock is Mobil 1 AFE enough to do 3 oil change intervals. Been using OEM filters, since I change every 5k miles or less(depending on driving habits).
Will probably try Pennzoil UP or will stick to Mobil 1 indefinitely.
