Default 2019 Lexus IS300 Front bumper scuff

Hey guys,

First time posting here. Hopefully this is the right place to ask my question. I’m the proud owner of a 2019 Lexus IS300 in ultra white with red seats. Absolutely beautiful car!

Anyway I was driving recently on the highway and some idiot speeding crossed all lanes and managed to push up a piece of debris that flew up and hit the bottom chrome lip of my car. when I got home I checked and there is a scratch and some scuffing. I’ve seen here that some folks have had rock scratches in the same area and I’m wondering has anyone been able to replace just that bottom piece. I found the part number but I’m wondering how I’d go about removing it ? Any tips or steps I’d have to take (i.e removing the whole bumper or unclipping certain things). I just don’t want to ruin anything but pulling or tugging at the wrong thing. Thanks guys!

I took a rock to the same area from some dump truck I wasn't even close to. It's just a ripple in the trim, so I don't care enough to replace the part just yet. Also I'd probably have to drop the entire bumper cover to do it, and I'm just too lazy to do that right now.

more than likely will have to remove front bumper but like anything, first time, take things nice and slow and every time after, will be that much easier with the gained knowledge

don't feel too bad, the Front is always going to get the brunt of rock chips, random road debris, bugs, etc.

you may want to check out: https://www.car-part.com/ or local junk yards since you may be able to find a "like new" for less

best of luck and one time i was on the highway in UT, i saw 5-6 cars pulled over the side of the road...which seemed odd...all of a sudden a giant piece of solid metal shaped kinda like a 18 wheeler HubCap but bigger was on the highway left lane!

luckily my reflexes were quick enough to avoid the major front tire damage along with suspension, rim, etc.

felt bad for the other 10+ cars pulled over on the side from hitting it but i was glad following at a safe distance and paying attention to ever changing circumstances SAVED me from a much bigger problem
