Default 2014 is 250 radio / nav / computer restarts every 120 seconds

I did the updated to the new version 12.8020 which has Alexa. I installed and it came back up running very slowly. It not isnt stuck in a boot loop but a loop every 120 seconds or so. I tried pulling the radio fuse for 10mins and replacing it. It's still cycling. Does any one have any other ideas?

Would pulling the battery be the same as the radio fuse?

Thanks

search the forum for “2014 IS Radio broken” there’s dozens of threads with various techniques to attempt to get it working again. 2014 models are plagued with bad radios.

One member said the dealer did a Factory Reset to stop the boot loop.
However he didn't couldn't elaborate on exactly what a Factory Reset meant.
Unless he means they went in to the Navi menu and selected Factory Reset...like if you were going to trade the car in and wanted to wipe out all personal data.

Did you try the factory reset in the navi menu?
