Default center console lid does not shut all the way - OCD TRIGGER

fellow OCD humans,
is200t -- my center console lid does not shut all the way and there is a lot of play when its closed ....

i'm pretty sure i can come up with a solution, but just wondering this is a common thing with IS's ... and wondered what you all have done for it.

It is common for the armrest/console lid to have excessive up and down play in it. There is little rubber pads underneath the lid that are supposed to make contact, but they tend to wear out pretty quick. I just trimmed small pieces of felt and attached it underneath to make it solid.

Could be the rubber stopper pads. Mine the latch was causing a rattle because it was not snug.

I put felt tape on the latch itself where it connects together, snug closure and no rattle.

I bought a 2015 is250 second hand that had the same issue. The rubber bumpers that are supposed to be conical were almost flat, causing the lid to move when people leaned on it. I ordered new bumpers from lexuspartsnow.com, the part number is 58959-60060.
