Default 265/35/19 Tire fitment

Apologize ahead of time if it has been ask before .
At the moment, I am running 19 x 9.5 ET40 with 255/35/19 in the rear. I currently on stock height and have no plan on lowering it. I want to go to 265 tires and know that I can do 265/30/19 for sure. I really want to go with 265/35/19 but want to make sure if that extra 5mm is going to be an issue.

Also debating on tires brand between Continental ExtremeContact DWS06, Yokohama Advan Sport a/s+, Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 and Pirelli P Zero. Thanks ahead! Pictures for references

If you leave the car at stock height you'll likely be fine.
The aspect ratio (35) in the tire size is a percentage of the Tread width.
So the total sidewall height increase from 265/30 to 265/35 is actually 13.25mm.

The other question would be what is the plan for the front tire...you would need a 235/40/19 to match the new rear tire size.
Your speedo would also be off by 3mph at 65mph...meaning you would actually be travelling 3mph faster

Thanks for the response. My front rn are 19 x 8.5 ET 35 running 235/35/19. So my current set is 235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear. Also the rear has a slight tire stretch with that +40. What would you recommend?

If you keep the car at stock height you should be ok with a 235/40/19 on the front. If you do lower at any point you will probably have some issues.

Do you think I should just stay with my current set up or go with 235/35 and 265/30? For best overall. And have you had experience with any of the tires I mentioned?

I have the Continentals on my IS and love them. Good balance between sport and wear with a comfortable ride. I’m running 235-35-

19 and 265-30-19. Mine is AWD.

I haven't personally had the Yoko's or Pirelli's, so others that may have used them can chime in. Both are rated well, so neither is a bad choice.

As for the tires sizing, usually when folks are upsizing the tires it's for ride comfort, meaning the roads could not be the greatly where they drive, or just looking for more sidewall for a smoother/comfier ride.
If you don't plan on lowering the vehicle ever, the you could go with the larger 245/35/19 and 265/35/19.
The 235/35 and 265/30 will be closer to stock diameter, so the speedo won't be really effected, and lots of people run those sizes.
It may also open up some more options for tire brands.

actually it would be the 13.25 x 2. Its the measurment from rim to top of tire.

Hey Sasnuke, completely unrelated to the thread but do you know if it’s worth doing the fuel filter while having the fuel pump recall done?

Since they have to re&re the filter anyways, the only cost should be for the part to you.
Since the filter is likely pretty cheap, for what it's worth I would do it.

It looks like the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump support, part number 77175-50010.
Might need @Jeff Lange to confirm this one for sure.
If it is that, the part is only a few dollars.
