IS350 100K+ Miles / Fuel Pump Recall
So I'm thinking about buying a higher mileage IS350 F Sport, in general just to save some money and get a nice car I don't have to sweat bullets over and can enjoy. I think we all know these cars are very reliable when taken care of so the mileage itself isn't so much a concern - but I'm curious what type of stuff to expect going forward, and any red flags to look for in general on these.
Was going to start by taking a look at this one: https://www.herbchambers.com/used/LE...10155e346f.htm
Also, on the carfax there is a note about a Manufacturer Safety recall that was issued, but has not been resolved:
NHTSA #20V012
Recall #20LB01 SAFETY RECALL 20LA01 (INTERIM
NOTICE 20LB01), MULTIPLE MODEL AND MODEL YEARS,
VEHICLE MAY STALL DURING DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEED
Status: Remedy Not Yet Available
Description: The subject vehicles are equipped with a low-pressure fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This may result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted.
If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Lexus is currently preparing the remedy. When the remedy becomes available, any authorized Lexus dealer will replace the low pressure fuel pump with an improved one FREE OF CHARGE.
It's the first I've heard of it, is it something to be concerned about?
Thanks in advance for any feedback. Apologies for my second post this week, not trying to spam - I just felt like I got some good input on my last post and was genuinely interested in this topic.

Many of my friends in 13 & 14 IS350 and GS350 got the fuel pump recall. I have a 15 and havent gotten anything.
If Lexus is fixing it for free i wouldn't worry about it.
Also, those guys at HC at Sharon are good guys. They do all maintenance work warranty work on my car.

We already have a thread on this issue for the fuel pump.

Yea, I'm from MA. Damn that place is popular - I can't believe two of you have been there!
Thanks for the links to the recall thread - I missed that one when I was poking around.

That looks like a pretty OK deal, plus it's an FSport (why isn't there a rear badge?), with a red interior (CAN be rare), and from a reputable dealer, but you know that 2014 was the debut year for the 3rd/current generation IS correct? 2015 models got a lot of fixes off the assembly line associated with the 2014 model debut, and a few enhancements, which might cost ya only a couple grand more.

My 14 350 has heated and ventilated seats, but its not an F-Sport so not sure what the difference was with those seats, but i thought F-Sports didn't have ventilated seats until the refresh, i could be wrong.
There was no rear FS badge until 2015.
Nothing really changed. They updated the Nav unit preventing the failures on some 14s.

2014’s can have problems. I’d personally avoid.
My 2015 350 Fsport series 2 (Canada) has ventilated seats. Poor but if you do the iPhone box mod (put an iPhone box under the seat to redirect air upwards) they work ok.
Again with no source for this info and therefore of little value to the OP.
I realize that there is a general perception that the first model year in a redesign can have bugs that the mfg quietly works out in subsequent years. However, I have not seen such a list for the 2014 IS other than some anecdotal stories.

You must be new to the forum....
my sources are being an active daily member of the forum for almost 2 years that has personally read through virtually every post on this forum.
There has been Dozens and dozens of reported failures on here with 2014 radios which cost around $2000 to replace.
theres been multiple issues reported with door lock actuators, headlights, moonroof rattles, there was also a rust recall for early models.
There was also severe battery drain issues on early models.
It is a well known, undisputed fact that the 2014 Lexus IS model year is the most plagued year of the generation and generally recommended by experienced forum members to avoid if considering purchasing.
