Default Best Upgrade So Far

I just wanted to create this thread by just complimenting as to how buttery smooth and easy/fun to drive the 2017 Lexus IS300 3G F Sport is.

I came from a 2003 BMW 325xi and that car was tiring to drive due to having no power assist. The steering wheel was so stiff like how some arcade machines were. I also had a problem with the gas mileage. That car ate up gas so easily! It also wasn't as powerful as my current Lexus is.

I'm definitely glad that I made this transition from BMW to Lexus! Best upgrade ever as all my problems were solved!

Though I had someone asking me if this was the same Lexus as the 1G and I had to break it to him that they are not the same cars. LOL he felt slightly sad but he was content knowing that its a descendant.

Welcome to the Lexus club!

Depends on which IS model you get you can get bad MPG too lol. I have a IS350 AWD, my average MPG is 18 with premium fuel.

My 2015 350 AWD averages the exact same. 18mpg city and highway combined. But I also like to mash the gas here and there and am in sport mode most of the time. 18mpg not to bad considering it’s a 3700+ pound car with full time all wheel drive and a 300+ HP V6. Straight highway cruising I’ve gotten around 24-25.

Definitely that justify the low MPG. It would be nice if Lexus gave the IS a bigger gas tank.

This is why ECO mode exists. I get 20.3 MPG when I go into ECO mode. I feel like using SPORT mode and tapping the gas pedal for good mileage is a myth

RWD 350 I was getting 18mpg combined ad well. Lately about 93% hwy I've bumped it up to 22-23 avg haha. 80-90 mph avg on hwy id say. These days everyone is flying down the traffic free roads.

Sport mode is used sparingly keeps the rpms high and doesn't shift to 8th until almost 90mph.
Eco I don't use but gave it shot for a week or so a long time ago. Didn't see much improvement but a couple mpgs I think I did get..

My commute is going to get even longer soon im considering a CT largely due to mpg and financial goals but hard decision to make.

I get about avg 25 MPG with my IS 300 RWD (200t). I drive 70% highway, but it's very hilly here in Germany so that doesn't help. I can easily hit 30+ MPG on flat highway.

I have the 250 and I consistantly get 20mpg in Sport Mode in the city. When I road trip to LA from Phx, I get about 26mpg, all in Sport mode. I did a tank on Eco Mode driving from Sacramento, and it did worse, about 21mpg. I stay away from Eco mode.

Do you have a house? I say keep your car and get something like a Bolt. The leases on those things are incredible now and has no maintenance.

With my '17 200t I'm averaging 27-28mpg with a 70/30 highway /city mix.

I average 17-19MPG on my 2019 IS 300 F sport in normal driving mode. I drive 90% city for most part. I've done highway testing and I get 24-25 ish but I go around 75-80+ so maybe that's why.
