Default Does the Transmission fluid have to be changed?

If I recalled, these cars have sealed transmissions? Meaning fluids or filters can't be changed? (My car is a 60K miles)

at 60K, should I also replace the brake fluids even if my brake pads are still good or should I just wait and do the whole thing at once?

Arguably the most talked about subject on this forum. Dozens and dozens...and dozens of threads on it. Search the forum for “transmission fluid change”.

Change your brake fluid every couple of years.
I change mine every 2.

Thank you Nick. I don't think my car's brake fluids have ever been changed. Can I do it without changing the pads?
and did you change your spark plugs at 60K too?

Definitely have your transmission fluid changed at least every 60k miles IMO. A member on here just had his changed and the old fluid was BLACK and that was at like 90k miles I believe. No such thing as a real lifetime fluid that lasts forever lol. I plan on changing it every 60k personally.

Brake fluid can be changed independently from the brake pads/rotors.
Every 2 years is a good benchmark for changing brake fluid.

As for the plugs follow the recommended interval as per Lexus. I'm not sure if you have a 250, 200t, 300, or 350...so hard to say when you should change the plugs. There is some variance based on engine model.

I bought my 2016 with 80K miles on it. Took it to my local Lexus dealer and had them drop the pan/drain fill the transmission fluid. Car had a few rough shifts prior to the fluid swap. It now shifts so smooth I can't feel it most of the time. Cost me $160. Money well spent in opinion.

I’m only at about 82,000km which is 50k miles or so... I have not yet done spark plugs and I’m actually not sure when they are due. I think I read they are due at 60k miles but I could be wrong. Should be in the owners book tho.

100% change it.

If you drive hard and plan on keeping your car I would change it once a year.

I put about 30,000kms on my car a year. And I drive in M mode, 99.9% of the time. Which would be deemed as hard driving.

I change it out once a year. I used to work in the quick lube industry years ago, so I’ve seen everything having to do with fluids. Doesn’t matter what car or how old or new it is fluid needs to be changed. No question.

I get mine done at Toyota and they use tech stream and it’s only $69.99cad to change the trans fluid. That’s dirt cheap insurance for your trans.
