Although the 2007 looked good in pictures it was due for an upgrade. 170k miles and still ran fantastic but just had way too many issues that I was willing to tackle. (Headlight issues, the factory dash, door panel flaws etc).
Picked up a 2015 and I couldn’t be happier. Already have some parts on order. Here’s a before and after. I’m a happy fella.
I drove a second gen recently and was surprised how totally different the interiors are. What are your thoughts on the change from 2nd to 3rd gen interior? I’m assuming your dash and door panel issues were because the interior was melting?
completely melted! I can not believe the previous owner did not have them done when the recall was available. The door panels looked like a dog had chewed them up. I absolutely loved the car and how it rode and looked from a distance but when you got up on it there was just too much to do for a 170k mile car.

its definitely so nice having Bluetooth and a nice backup camera. And the BSM mirrors are a really nice safety feature for all the highway driving I do. The navigation and the user interface for the stereo is going to take some getting use to but I’m hella happy overall.

the seats are amazing on the new car. Not that the others were bad at all, these are just better.
Im kind of bummed this one doesn’t have that floor ambient lighting I thought that was pretty cool.
Im really bummed I couldn’t find one near me with the red interior. But at the same time it looks like there’s more of an upkeep on it because all of the ones I saw for sale just didn’t look like they held their vibrant color very well.

Navigation is horrible. Just use your phone or upgrade it.

Ya sight unseen or tested made an impulse buy, decided to splurge & grab a CPO IS350 FSport RWD mostlydue to ared interior which CAN be rare & ya get comments, and Lexus Westminster delivered from Orange County.

Dunno how this happens - barely maintain my interior and don't THINK it's going non-vibrant knock on wood *knock* *knock* *knock*.

BTW how much $$$ did ya get for the 2007?
they stepped up to 3k which was more than fair given the condition of the body/paint/interior.
