headlight issue has me stumped
Whats up i was hoping ill have better luck here for my post to be seen and correct the issue. i posted in the Lightning section. if you could take a look. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lighting/940692-scratching-head-noob-question.html
Those headlights are the LED variant and the bulbs cannot be replaced, but it looks like you got the headlight working again which is great, but you still have the warning light on your dash. Now that they are working properly again, Try disconnecting your negative battery cable for 10-30 minutes and see if that will reset/get rid of that warning light. If that does not work let us know.
thank you for the response ive been a little busy . ill give it a try today after work and give an update.
ouch so i would have to buy a headlight if the lights ever stop working in the future.damn that seems like a poor decision by Lexus, especially with how fragile that top mounting bracket on the housing is. is there anything i could do through Lexus like a recall or is that one of those deal with it issues.

If you are out of warranty, you are out of luck. This is not an issue that is limited to the IS alone. Lots of cars today come with LED lights and in nearly all of these, the bulbs cannot be replaced, you have to replace the whole light fixture. This is the price to pay for fancy LED lighting. However, Lexus should have a better design where the housing doesn't crack. I don't think I've heard of Acura having this type of issue.
