Sport mode will get less mpg on highway, due to 8th gear not being used.

Note: In the AWD models, 6th gear will still be used on the highway. So, in theory, I could drive it around in Sport all the time and get the same mileage as Normal.

Don't get me wrong, the AWD models still get crappy mileage compared with RWD.

RWD also goes into 8th gear even in Sport mode. At least with my 2018 it does.

Sport mode all the time after warmup, ripping around backroads and doing 130-140 km/h average on the highway daily (essential industry status.) 28 MPG average now seems likely if this keeps up.
