Default Service schedule and Warranty

Hey guys, I have had my 2016 IS200T F-Sport for exactly one year. I have driven it 20k miles since then, as it's daily driven. I have a question regarding my warranty. I purchased the 4 year extended warranty. I am about 200 miles away from my next scheduled service, which I confirmed with my advisor does not include the oil change (every 10k miles). So my question is, since this service is just an inspection, if I choose to skip this service will it void or affect my warranty in any way? I don't feel that it's necessary to spend $100+ for an inspection that I can easily do myself.

No it will not. The only things that can void your warranty are things like not doing the recommended services (oil change, brake fluid change, etc) and even then, Lexus has to prove that you were the reason that specific part or area failed or had issues and that it wasn't from manufacturer defect. Obviously it works the same way with modifications, they have to prove your modification was the cause for the issue or failure. I keep my receipts and stuff for maintenance items I do myself since I'm under warranty just so I have proof that I had maintenance items taken care of at the proper intervals.

Like Flash said, your warranty will be fine.I always log any self-performed or non-dealer maintenance in the Service History section on the Lexus Drivers website. I also keep all service receipts.
